Shahran Kangavari’s path to the legal profession was not merely a career choice, but a calling shaped by a profound personal journey. Fleeing government persecution in his country of origin, Mr. Kangavari arrived in the United States as a young religious refugee. At the age of nine, he, his mother, and two older brothers undertook the arduous journey to Vienna, Austria, enduring a painful separation from his father who was unable to join them for five long years. After seven months of uncertainty, the family was finally granted asylum and a new beginning in the United States.
These early experiences—facing adversity, navigating unfamiliar systems, and witnessing the profound impact of fairness and due process—ignited in Mr. Kangavari a deep-seated passion for justice and a powerful desire to help others. He understands firsthand what it means to seek protection and a voice when facing overwhelming challenges. This understanding is the bedrock of his legal practice today. Mr. Kangavari channels his resilience and unwavering belief in the transformative power of the law into passionately advocating for his clients, striving to ensure their rights are protected and that they receive the just outcomes they deserve. He is committed to being the strong advocate he knows is essential when navigating the complexities of the legal system.
Mr. Kangavari brings this unwavering commitment to his practice as an experienced civil litigator, having honed his skills at several prominent law firms throughout Southern California. His practice has involved representing individuals and entities in high-stakes litigations against large corporations and well-resourced legal teams in different practice areas, including labor and employment law, wage and hour class actions, business and real estate litigation, personal injury and wrongful death, sex abuse, and whistleblower retaliation. Through his dedicated advocacy, he has recovered millions on behalf of his clients, helping them secure meaningful compensation and the justice they are due.
